Manna Made
Manna Made is a visual identity for a Christian print shop inspired by the biblical image of daily bread. Through hand-drawn illustration, typography, and thoughtful symbolism, the brand communicates nourishment, creativity, and the quiet faithfulness found in everyday life.
Manna-Made is a brand identity created for a Christian art and print shop centered around the idea of sharing the Gospel through design. Inspired by the biblical story of manna, the daily bread God provided in the wilderness, the brand celebrates themes of provision, creativity, and simple faithfulness through a warm, handcrafted visual language.
The branding process began with research into the client's mission, audience, and core message before moving into sketching and concept development. I explored dozens of hand-drawn icons, lettering styles, and visual metaphors drawn from Scripture, including bread, wheat, honey, and the sun. Rather than relying on polished digital graphics from the start, I intentionally developed the identity through pen-and-paper sketches, allowing the imperfect qualities of hand lettering and illustration to shape the personality of the brand.
From these explorations, I refined a flexible visual system consisting of primary and secondary logos, brand marks, custom illustrations, typography, and a warm, earthy color palette. Every element was designed to feel approachable, tactile, and authentic while maintaining consistency across digital and printed applications.
To bring the identity to life, I designed a collection of illustrated art prints that communicate biblical themes through playful, hand-drawn imagery and Scripture. Rather than creating overtly decorative pieces, each print tells a visual story by pairing meaningful illustrations with carefully selected passages, inviting viewers to engage with the message in a fresh and approachable way. Together, the branding system and print collection demonstrate how a cohesive visual language can extend beyond a logo into products that embody the heart of the brand.
Manna-Made reinforced my belief that branding is more than creating a recognizable identity—it's about designing an entire visual experience. Every logo, illustration, print, and color choice contributes to a larger story, allowing the brand's mission to be communicated consistently, thoughtfully, and memorably.
